	Welcome to The Library! Welcome, everyone, to the Library! As you wander your way in, wake up at a desk, or descend an elevator, the library's ambiance is, well... the same as it always is. Comforting-but-not. Warm-but-cold. Empty-but-populated. And, as always, there are certain things going on that just might make settling in a little easier. Information Desk ⬡ Maps At the Information Desk, there will be a large stack of looseleaf graph paper and a surplus of pencils, to more easily enable anyone who wishes to draw their own map of the library. The pencils will only be able to write on blank paper given to characters by library activities, and not on any of the books. ⬡ Stationery Next to the graph paper, there will be a stack of blank notebooks and a haphazard pile of pens. The pens will only be able to write in the notebooks, on characters' personal belongings, and on skin. All three of these items are semi-limited; somehow characters will only be able to make one stack of items as tall as they are once they've been removed from the desk. Notebooks and pens will be provided in assorted colors in shades of blue, purple, white (and grey) and teal. Cafe Menu ⬡ Seasonal Menu ⬡ Slow-cooked Mac and Cheese ⬡ Butter Chicken ⬡ Apricot and Brie Stuffed Chicken Breast With Roasted Potatoes ⬡ Rainbow Vegetarian Pad Thai With Peanuts and Basil ⬡ Chocolate Cream Pie ⬡ Classic Cheesecake ⬡ Champagne Cupcakes ⬡ Moscato Cupcakes ⬡ Champagne ⬡ Mulled Wine ⬡ Irish Coffee ⬡ Chestnut Praline Latte ⬡ Usual Menu The Cafe menu will also showcase more typical cafe fare, from teas and coffees, to standard hot chocolates, to pastries, donuts, and sandwiches. The Search Bar will also bring up whatever else characters could possibly want. Sunrise Room ⬡ Seasonal Showings As always, movies playing at any given time are randomized, but this month there is a higher chance of movies playing with themes of new beginnings. First Floor Restrooms ⬡ Seasonal Showers This month, all complimentary toiletries will be either vanilla, blueberry pancake, or cedar scented. Ocean Floor 4 ⬡ Room 4575 Located in room 4575 on Ocean Floor 4 will be a large table with an inordinate amount of self-help books, revolving around themes of "New Year, New You" and "New Year’s Resolution Ideas And How To Achieve Each Of Them." Alongside the books will be a stack of worksheets, asking questions about characters' goals and "resolutions" - all appearing to be photocopied haphazardly from a different book entirely. It would appear as though the intent was for there to be a somewhat therapeutic book club meeting, focused on improving oneself. In practice, the room itself somehow has taken on a somewhat oppressive air, as though there's someone staring at you and judging your life choices, even if you're alone in the room.

[ hello? would it give her a champagne cupcake if she asked? not that she's going to; ochako is a good girl, thank you very much. it's the principle of the thing! does the library even require a valid ID? ]

How are we even supposed to pay for this anyway? I don't have any money. [ muttering to herself: ] A latte can't cost that much, right?

[ come by the sunrise room, and ochako will wave you in! there's plenty of room in here - join her! ]

Hey, come on in! I think a new one's about to start. I don't have any popcorn, but we should watch it together!

★ mountain or ocean gallery.

[ she's just. peering at all the weapons, coming just short of pressing her face to the glass. but that doesn't stop her from chatting if she hears someone else enter! ]

Weird how a library has miniature museums like this, huh? Guess it kind of makes sense, though, since they're both educational and all.

[ finally, she backs to face the newcomer with a smile. ]

Any of it look familiar to you?

[ for anything else! ochako can be found wandering the library, floating herself up to reach the top shelves, or hanging out in the lounge napping or watching the chess games unfold - i'm open to anything! ]

(When he'd found the Mountain Gallery, he'd found his sword! And if his sword was here, that meant his bow had to be somewhere too. When he finds the Ocean Gallery, he knows he's in the right place though and he's ready to make a beeline right for the case when he sees someone already here.

Well. Time to play it cool.)

Dunno. (He shrugs and holds his hands neatly behind his back. He just got here!) Let's take a look.

(And he'll just saunter over next to her and... there. He recognizes his bow right away. But he doesn't say anything. Not yet. As far as she'll know, he's still looking!)

Nope! Well, most of them are types of weapons I recognize from movies and stuff, like the guns, but that's it.

[ she shrugs! ]

I don't really carry weapons, anyway. All I have is my wires.

("Movies." "Guns." Cool. He'll assume that out of the things in the case in front of him, the things he doesn't recognize right away are probably the guns or something. IDK what's in this case.)

Wires?

(He tilts his head curiously to one side. He thinks about the displays he's seen so far and... hm.)

Does that mean you have them now?

Sure do. [ she hefts the tote bag a little! ] I was going to put them in the locker, but I figured it's probably safer to keep them with me, just in case. Never know when they could come in handy!

...Guess it would be easier if I just wore them, though, huh.

[ things that did not occur to her until just now: wires are useless when they are just kept in a bag. hm! ]

So you get to keep your things with you... lucky you!

(Implying some of his things were taken from him. Hah. He's going to approach the case though and run his hand on the panel, trying to see how this thing works. Does it slide? Come out? It looks like it slides. It feels like it slides. Hm.

Don't mind him. He's just going to keep talking casually,)

Kind of a weird fashion accessory, isn't it? I can't really imagine what wearing a bunch of wires would look like. Maybe something like a puppet?

(That would be so weird.)

You didn't? What are you missing, then?

[ odd. what does that mean, exactly? she watches him for a moment before giving the display cases a thoughtful glance. hm.

well, that'll sort itself out eventually! ]

I don't wear the wires themselves.

[ though the thought makes her snort. that would be weird, but there's probably a hero out there who does exactly that, and who is ochako to judge? no, she'll just dig the uraraka wrists out of her bag and slip them on to demonstrate. ]

See? The wires are kept inside until I need them.

My sword. (But there is no sword in this case. It is only long range weapons.) And my bow.

(Sure enough, there is a silver bow and a set of arrows in the case. Neatly labeled with a little card saying they were kindly donated by "Claude von Riegan." Which is a lie. He didn't donate anything.

But he looks up to see what Ochako is doing! The way she puts them on, he'd think she was putting on grappling hooks but they go right past her hands and on her wrists?)

That's... not what I expected. (When she said wires or when she started to put them on. Huh.) How do you use them? Care to demonstrate?

[Emil, for his part, is stocking up on every dessert, because-- why wouldn't he? Desserts and for some reason, just pieces of fruit he had to ask for separately, but it's mostly a lot of pieces of cake he's putting on this tray.

He looks up from his hoarding when he hears "pay for this," with the distinct expression of someone trying to silently beg a classmate to not tell the teacher they forgot to assign homework. Hold on, missy!!]

Don't tell them they're giving it away for free! ["them"] They'll take it away!

[ - ah. she hadn't thought of that. but still! ]

But they have to know, right? They already set this whole place up!

[ aaaaa don't tell her she messed this up for all of them!!! ]

I don't know! Maybe they forgot to add the prices? I'm not going to hang around long enough to find out, and I suggest you don't either.

[See, he knows what he's talking about... Stealing(?) food. Watch in awe as he stacks a cupcake on top of a slice of cheesecake.]

But that's stealing! I can't go around stealing food! That's illegal!

Uh, so is kidnapping, but we're already here! They might as well make sure we don't starve.

Do you even have money? I didn't bring any and I'm not going to go do... book jobs, or whatever just so I can eat.

[ actually a really good point and she doesn't know how to answer it? hm. ]

...Well, I guess we were sort of kidnapped. But don't they say "two wrongs don't make a right," or something?

[ where is aizawa-sensei to talk her through a moral dilemma when she needs him! ]

It doesn't look like there's anyone around to pay us even if we do book jobs, though, so... maybe it's fine?

[Later, he will look back on this and realize he is a Bad Criminal Influence and never recover, but that's Future Emil's problem. Right now he's going to ride the high of being Correct, because he is so correct.]

Soooo, what are you waiting for? Get your latte, whatever that is.

[You know that meet-cute situation where two people take a book off the shelf on opposite sides and see each other through the gap? That happens to Ochako. That happens but the guy on the other side is a little too startled for it to really be a meet-cute because it's happening much higher than their normal eye-level should be, up at the very tip-top of a bookshelf.]

Gah-!

[And whoop- there he goes from vision, falling over at the surprise of suddenly seeing a face on the other side.]

[Ruggie catches himself, latching his legs around his broomstick securely, but it does leave him hanging upside-down and feeling pretty silly about it. A- At least he didn't fall?]

[ well, it startles her, too! fingers crossed there's no one below because ochako's dropped the book she just grabbed with a startled yelp... but the second ruggie disappears from view, she throws herself over the top of the shelf to catch him with her wires.

except... he's already caught himself. neat! so she just kind of floats there for a moment before offering a hand to help right him. ]

[It was a good effort on everyone's part and, thankfully, no one was hurt by falling (or falling books)]

Ah, yeah, yeah. [Only a small wound to his pride, that's all. His legs relax slightly, going from "death grip to save his spine" into something he could move a little more comfortably with. He's ready to try and flip himself back normally when he realizes the offered hand and-]

... huh.

[No broomstick? Ah, well, no point in resisting help when it's clearly needed. He'll take her hand and swing up to the right-side of his own broom.]

Hope I didn't scare you too much! [says the one who fell back first...]

Oh, good! I was pretty worried for a second there!

[ once he’s upright, she leans back to float over the shelf with a sigh of relief. ]

How many of you have those things, anyway? Did I miss the library handing out magic brooms with all the worksheets?

[Ruggie shuffles himself back to his normal sitting position on the broom. It wavers a little, kind of like a boat on the ocean, but it doesn't look like it's going to fall anytime soon.]

Someone else with a broom? [his expression perks up a it after a pause]

Ah, did he have ears like mine? [a small shishi laugh from between his teeth as he points up to his rounded ears]

Of course, mine are way more impressive...

I didn’t know it was a competition! But yeah, he had ears like yours, too. Are you guys related? Is that your quirk?

[She can infer what popcorn is, but it's still something unfamiliar. Despite that, it's also fairly inconsequential in the face of the offer, so Gwendolyn opts not to ask and simply joins Ochako when prompted.]

Well, yes. I made an effort to learn as much...I was just curious, given the number of people familiar with it prior to arriving here appear to be in the minority.
